Hi Beauties! It’s that time of the year where things start changing, so I had to write this easy fall makeup blog. As the weather gets cooler and summer clothes get replaced by warmer coverups, makeup looks get bolder. Yes, during the cooler months, it’s more forgivable to wear bolder makeup that stands out more.
Makeup Rules
Although technically there are no rules when it comes to makeup, there are some unwritten rules that I like to somewhat stick to. In the summer, for instance, I will not wear a heavy face of full coverage makeup and fully made up eyes. I like to keep things light and semi-natural. (There is nothing worse than wearing a full beat and having the hot sun melt your makeup.) In summer, I prefer a tinted moisturizer and lip gloss, over a thick foundation and matte lips. Come fall and winter that instantly changes though. When the weather is cooler, somehow my mood switches and so does my makeup. I will go for bold lips that stand out and am not afraid to pair it with bold eyes.

The easy fall makeup look I created this time around is one of my favorites. The light pinks and mauve lips from summer are replaced by dark vamp lips. At night time, I even like to pair it with dark rimmed eyes. I decided to film the makeup process so you guys can see the look come together. Although I love makeup videos, they take a long time to film and are a lot of work to put together. I was so glad when it was done. I think the video came out fairly nice. Let me know what you think.

I’m right with you. I change up my makeup with the season shift, too. When the weather is cooler, I will add a bolder look, as well. I like much deeper colors.
Thank you so much for sharing your tips! I’m a big fan of your look. It’s always so well done.
I’m a photographer and I’ve spent many hours waiting for models to put on their makeup. I always found the process fascinating.
I know exactly what you mean about makeup in the summer. I usually do a bit of mascara and that’s about it when we are hitting 110+ degrees for weeks on end, it isn’t worth adding all of that to my face. We haven’t cooled off here enough yet but once we do I will have to give your tutorial a try!
I’m no expert on makeup. But I like the different colors and different effects, whether they are tied to the season or something else.
Wow! It’s quite easy, to be honest, a guide. You are so beautiful, girl….right from the start to the end of the tutorial.
I like this make-up. I need to buy new mascara and a new fall eye shadow palette. Thank you for sharing the video with us.
Looks great! I love the lip color you chose. Such a great fall palette.
I love it! I don’t wear a lot of makeup but I wouldn’t mind being able to rock a fall look. The mix of mauve and pink in your look is so beautiful. Not only that, but I can envision it dressing up any fall outfits.

This makeup is so pretty. very light and easy to do – just the way I like doing my makeup.
Wow! I really love that makeup look! It is perfect! Thanks for sharing this with us
You look lovely with this make-up. It’s good suggestion, I will share it with my partner maybe can try this,
This is great advice. I like to keep make-up light too. I’ll need to look at some of your tutorials as I need to learn how to do my eyes. Last time I ended up cleaning it all off and just putting mascara. I don’t wear make-up often so haven’t had much practice.
I had no idea that makeup changes with seasons! But then why not I wonder after reading your post. If we need different kinds of clothes in summer and winter, then the makeup should change too!
