You are reading this blog because you are looking for easy ways to look better instantly. In this article I will share some easy tips and tricks that you may find helpful and might not have thought of. And no… These are not just beauty tips for women, men can also benefit from them! Before I start off, I just want to remind you that you are already beautiful — we all are! We just don’t always see it or feel it, but with these easy tips, that too can also change.
1. Wake up a little earlier to look better instantly
Even 15 minutes is enough time to accomplish dozens of things at once. Rushing in the morning often sets the stage for a stressful day. Waking up a little earlier can make a huge difference, even if you use the extra time for drinking your coffee in peace. Try it and after about two weeks, you will get used to this new routine.
2. Increase Your confidence to improve your appearance
Easier said then done right? I don’t mean acting like a total diva of course, but how you feel about yourself on the inside will show on the outside — If you feel bad, you will look bad! There are many things you can do to make you feel confident and increase your self-esteem. My level of confidence is up there and it has to be considering I’m putting myself out there blogging, YouTubing and running my social media business. Having said that, just like everyone else, there are days when my confidence is lacking. I have fat days, bad hair days, PMS days, nothing-works-for-me days… You name it! Rather than beating yourself up with negative words — built yourself up with positive words!
Tip: Try this exercise — Proudly stand upright front of a full-length mirror (naked or not). Look at yourself and out loud, name 5 things that you like about yourself. This can be about your physical appearance and about your personality. (ignore that pimple on your nose, ignore the fat roll that came out of no where, ignore the cellulite and stretchmarks, ignore all the presumed negatives!) Do this every morning before starting your day and over time, you will feel what you’re saying and it will show on the outside. Focus on the positive! A mirror is a mirror is a mirror, but the one I have is amazing. It lights up and looks gorgeous in any room. Click below if you want to check it out.
3. Cut down on the booze to improve your look
Drinking less alcohol will have a positive effect on your appearance. Alcohol is a diuretic and can trigger dehydration, which then can result in fine lines and wrinkles. Additionally, consuming high amounts of alcohol can also lead to weight gain. Next time when you would normally drink alcohol, reach for a glass of water instead.
4. Work Out to look better
Healthy lifestyles that include regular exercise can help your body look better, fitter and healthier. Moreover, you can use exercise to combat stress, social anxiety, or phobia. When you’re feeling good, it will show on the outside. It is good for your self-esteem to exercise daily. This doesn’t mean spending hours in the gym every day. Try to at least be active for 30 minutes every day. Whether it’s going for a walk, jogging, Yoga, Zumba, or weightlifting, find what you like to do and stick with it.
Tip: Add variety to your exercise routine by doing different workouts each day. It helps prevent boredom and makes it easier to stick to your routine.
5. Ditch the Baggy Clothes for a quick transformation
So many women consider themselves larger. They style themselves with baggy striped pants or sweatshirts hoping to hide this false sense of size. They don’t realize that this makes them look larger. When buying a new item, don’t be afraid to try a smaller size first. Clothes that fit a little snugly, will enhance your shape rather than making it look bigger like the baggy clothes do.
Tip: Avoid clothes that don’t fit because they can be unflattering, inconvenient or most importantly, they can age you. If you want to look well put together, avoid clothes that are too small or too big — wear clothes that fit just right.
Tip: Once you find properly fitting clothes, double check your posture. Good posture can instantly improve your look. Bulging your back, slumping forward and looking down at the ground is not going to do anything for your appearance. Instead, do the superhero pose. Place your fists on your hips, push your shoulders down, your chest forward and look straight ahead. Now naturally lower your hands and go about your day. Just doing this pose will instantly make you look and feel confident.
6. Hydrate. Start drinking a gallon (~ four liters) of water a day
Drinking water is essential if you want look your best. It should be part of a healthy lifestyle. Skin that’s properly hydrated will show fewer lines and wrinkles because its moisture and elasticity will be optimal. If you don’t drink enough water, skin will start looking dull and dry, lose its elasticity and wrinkles and lines will be more prominent. If you struggle getting your daily water in, consider the tips below.
Tips: Add some lemon, lime, strawberries or orange slices to your water for a little flavor that may persuade you to drink your water.
Tip: Drink a glass of water before each meal. This is an easy way to remind yourself to drink more water.
Tip: Drink a glass of water every hour while you are at work. By the time the day is over you are well into achieving your daily water requirement.
Tip: Add more food with a high water content to your diet. Lettuce, cabbage, watermelon, zucchini, and celery consist more than 90% of water.
Tip: Drink water instead of other beverages such as alcohol and soda.
Tip: Each time you drink water, take large gulps instead of small sips. This will increase your water intake quickly.
7. Do your hair to Look Better Instantly
This one is a no-brainer! Simply combing and styling your hair will instantly make you look better. No one likes dirty, greasy, messy locks that hide your face. Pull a comb through it and if you don’t want to wash your strands, opt for a sleek bun or ponytail. Don’t just let it hang like a curtain in front of your pretty face — get rid of those stray hairs. My favorite brush and comb are linked below. The comb has wide teeth so it easily glides through your hair. The brush, although called a wet brush, can also be used as a dry brush. If your hair tangles a lot, this brush is a must. It will detangle without breaking the strands.
Tip: Use a dry shampoo as part of your hair care routine if you don’t feel like washing your hair. Sprinkle or spray the powder shampoo on your strands and work it in with your fingertips. It will temporarily revive your hair by removing any product built up and grease.
Tip: Maybe try a different hair style or put a curl in your hair for a change if your hair is straight. Check out my blog on how to easily get curls in your hair.

8. Grow Your Hair Out or Have It Cut Shorter
A new hair cut can instantly improve your appearance. If you want to grow your hair long, make sure you trim the ends so that your hair looks healthy while growing. Often we think cutting the ends defeats the purpose, but it really makes a big difference. Alternatively, go for a shorter hair do. A long bob is hot right now and it fits most faces. It give off a sensual, femme fatale look.
Tip: Ask your hair dresser what he recommends. Professionals know what works for each face shape and hair type. Take advantage of their knowledge.
9. Find a Great Skincare Routine
Applying the right products to your face can be the difference between having flawless skin and flawed skin. Always find what works best for your skin type. I often review new beauty products on my blog and social media, but that doesn’t always mean that what works for me, will work for you. I’m also a big fan of consulting a dermatologist. When I was hit with horrible adult acne right before a televised pageant I was in, it was the dermatologist who saved my sanity and gave me back my acne-free skin and confidence. My confidence on stage instantly increased because I knew people we looking at me and not at my acne. It might take some trial to find the best skincare for you, but once you do your confidence will increase significantly knowing that you look good.
10. Master Your Makeup Game as a way to Look Better Instantly

11. Eat healthy to feel and look better
A healthy diet will make you look and feel better. Just eating a well-rounded diet will ensure you get all the vitamins and minerals your body needs to look its best.
Tip: If you want healthy, shiny and strong hair, make sure to eat whole grains such as oats and brown rice. These contain B vitamins, silica, and zinc which are essential to hair health.
Tip: Eat nuts and seeds such as flaxseed and walnuts if you have dry skin. The vitamin E these contain will help combat dryness so it can hold on to its moisture. Olive oil is another source of vitamin E that can help you overcome dry skin.
Tip: Combat dark under-eye circles by eating dark leafy greens for their vitamin C and K. These vitamins boost circulation and can help eliminate the dark areas under the eyes.
Tip: Have eggs for breakfast if you have brittle nails. Egg yolks are rich in iron, zinc and biotin which can contribute to healthy nail growth.
Tip: Consume vitamin B12 and iron if you suffer from a pale, dull skin tone. You can find these nutrients in oysters and other seafood.
12. Whiten Your Teeth or Let Lipstick Help You Do It
There’s nothing better than an attractive smile. It is true that yellow teeth age you! White teeth take years of your face and just brighten up your whole appearance. There are many instant and gradual options nowadays. Find what works for you, whether it’s a professional whitening treatment, whitening strips, whitening toothpaste or at-home LED whitening, there are many options available that will transform your teeth immediately. Also, don’t be afraid to consult your dentist for different options. The options shown below have gotten rave reviews and are absolutely worth your interest. Check them out.
Tip: For a super fast white teeth fix, invest in the right lipstick. Use cool, blueish red lip colors to neutralize yellow on the tooth. Try on the red lipstick to make sure it has that flattering effect, because some reds will have an opposite effect. Alternatively, use a gloss to enhance whiter teeth.
13. Do your nails so you look better right away
Nails that are well taken care of, will improve your appearance. This doesn’t always mean applying nail polish or going to the nail salon. Clipped, clean nails on their own will always look better then chipped, dirty nails. A coat of nail polish can be the finishing touch to your look.
Tip: If you don’t have time to give yourself a manicure, consider stick on nails. They are quick and look super natural.
14. Groom and Grow Out Your Brows
Grooming your brows will instantly transform your face. Your brows frame your eyes and when groomed, they can draw attention to your eyes. If you have thin brows due to overplucking, grow out your brows. Fight the urge to pluck and tweeze them. Once you get the fullness back, have them professionally shaped. Threading is ideal because it’s easy to single out hairs you want to remove and can prevent overdoing it.
15. Go to bed early and get enough sleep
They don’t call it beauty sleep for nothing! After a good night’s rest, you will instantly look better. When you get sufficient, deep sleep, your body produces collagen which promotes skin elasticity. It also produces growth hormone, which helps with cell and tissue repair. When you wake up after a quality 7-9 hours of sleep, dark circles and fine lines will be less noticeable and you will look rested and more attractive. It pays off to go to bed a little earlier to ensure you get the full benefits of sleep.
16. Reduce Stress As Much As Possible
Stress is hard to avoid and can be a killer when it comes to the way you look. The hustle and bustle of everyday life comes with stressors that are often unavoidable. Stress can make your hair fall out, break out your skin, make you gain or lose weight, make you ill and take a toll on your everyday wellbeing. Rather then giving in, approach life in a way where you control the stress rather than it controlling you. Small changes every day can reduce stress. Develop healthy habits, such as getting regular exercise, eating healthy meals and maybe even learn meditation and self care techniques. Taking some time for yourself, during which you just focus on you, can have a huge impact on reducing stress.
Tip: I’ve been loving the effects of Lemon Balm Tea. Whenever I anticipate a stressful day, I drink this tea in the morning. About 20 minutes afterward, I feel like a new person. This tea is excellent to drink before bedtime. In addition to improving your sleep quality and helping you relax, it aids in digestion and reduces bloating. The only thing I wish is that I discovered this caffeine-free magical tea earlier. Below is the one that I drink. It works like a charm. Thank me later.
17. Smile More to Improve your appearance
Nobody likes a grouch! When you smile, whether real or fake, your brain gets the message that you are experiencing humor and releases dopamine and serotonin. The first makes you feel happier and the latter reduces stress — all contributing to making you look and feel better and more attractive to others. So much of looking better is determined by what’s going on inside of you.
Tip: If you have a stressful day ahead, look in the mirror in the morning before getting ready and for 30 seconds, just smile. Grin at yourself (which will make you laugh even more) and laugh out loud. This will set the stage for a happy day. You can even do this while stuck in traffic. Smiling will lower stress and you feel better. That feeling will make you look better and more attractive to others. As you see, mirrors can have multiple functions — they’re not just for seeing how we look. We just have to use them in more than one way.
18. Wear Dishwashing Gloves
It is not an interesting matter but washing up dishes and cleaning up the house can cause big damage and make your hands look older. Cleaning solutions and chemicals can wreak havoc on your hands and dry an irritate your skin. The solution is to wear dishwashing gloves while cleaning the house. The gloves will instantly protect your hands from the chemicals and as an added bonus, it also helps to keep your manicure in tact.
19. Use Sunscreen Like it’s Going Out Of Style
Make sunscreen part of your skincare routine to the point where it becomes a habit just like brushing your teeth in the morning. Sunscreen is essential to avoid damage from UV rays. Although we love the sun, too much sun can severely damage your skin and trigger the onset of lines, wrinkles and age spots. Even on cloudy days, the sun is hidden, and can still do significant damage. Apply sunscreen every day can instantly stop the damage in its tracks.
These are 19 things you can do right now to look better. Hopefully these come in handy. Which ones did you like best? Don’t be shy. Sound off below.
